Madison House is much more than the student volunteer center at the University of Virginia. It is a bridge for thousands of students who choose to give their time to the community and a second home for hundreds of student leaders who manage them. It is a small house that makes a huge difference to 85 community partner agencies and over 17,000 area residents. It is a place with brightly colored offices and lots of signs that say "volunteers make a difference." It is an organization from which 18,000 alumni can proudly say, "I was part of something special".

As a student-led, self-governed organization, only a small fraction of the Madison House budget is received from the University of Virginia. Nearly half of the Madison House operating budget is a result of generous donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Contributions are vital to provide training, advising and program support for the 3,300 volunteers and 190 student leaders who provide over 111,000 hours of service to the community each year. Please consider making your gift to Madison House today!
