What Will the Volunteers Do?

At Barrett Early Learning Center, volunteers assist the staff primarily during recess and play time. They interact closely with the children (ages 2-5), involving themselves with games and playtime as well as helping out with fun learning activities.  Barrett is a small, tight-knit community, and as a volunteer you get the chance to really get to know the kids and staff members.

What Will the Volunteers Do?

The ISC is a local preschool that offers French and Spanish language immersion programs for students in the school’s Toddler Program, Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten (ages 2-6). Volunteers at the ISC need to speak either Spanish or French as this is a full-immersion program for the attending students. While at the school, volunteers assist with classroom activities, and may, but are not required, to lead their own activities with classrooms to gain early childhood education experience.  Volunteers also have the option to request which age group of classroom they would like to be placed in, and the school will make an effort to honor those requests.  Please note that any volunteer interested in serving at ISC will need to obtain a copy of her/his TB tests from Student Health and provide it to The ISC.
