Community Partnerships

Madison House is committed to building mutually beneficial relationships with organizations that provide leadership development opportunities for students while supporting community leaders in addressing varying needs of the community.

By partnering with Madison House, we had a good feeling that their volunteers would bring the enthusiasm and willingness to help others. They have, and it’s been invaluable.
— Toni Jackson (The Gym), Community Partner

Our structure:

Madison House is a non-profit organization with a staff of full-time paid employees and graduate student fellows who work to advise our student leaders and connect with our community partners. When first applying to be a community partner, your primary contact will be one of these staff members. For our established programs, the primary point of contact is a Program Director, a student leader who works directly with the program’s volunteer coordinator to schedule and oversee opportunities for their volunteers. Each program is also placed into one of our four primary program tracks, with each track having a student leader known as a Head Program Director who is responsible for ensuring all programs within that track are running smoothly.

If your organization has ongoing, weekly volunteer placement opportunities suited to UVA students, please reach out by filling out an inquiry form.
