COVID-19 Protocol: How to Use the House

Madison House remains dedicated to slowing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the health and safety of our student volunteers, staff, faculty, and Charlottesville community partners and neighbors. Our goal is to especially keep the Charlottesville community safe from harm. With this in mind, the Madison House building will be closed for the fall 2020 semester. The following guidelines have been put in place until further notice:

  • Only select individuals will have access to the Madison House building this fall:

    • Madison House Staff

    • Madison House Workstudy

    • Madison House Head Program Directors - by appointment only for limited periods.

  • Room reservations for program operations are not currently available.

  • Only five people are allowed inside the House at any given time. If you need access to the House, please contact our Business Manager, Anna Byfield.

  • All people in the House are required to wear face masks and maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times.

  • When working inside the House, individuals must work in separate rooms with the door closed.

  • All people in the House must wash their hands regularly and wipe down all high-touch surfaces prior to leaving the House.
